In other Seahawks related news, Russell Wilson blah blah blah

quote:

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the Seahawks’ attempts to trade Flynn could prove to be troublesome as many around the league expect Flynn to be released. While Seattle can’t trade (or release) Flynn until the new league year begins in March, they certainly can inquire around the league to see what the interest is once he becomes available. Flynn’s current contract calls for him to be paid $7.25 million in 2013 with $2 million guaranteed.

I admit that he comes with a big price tag, but there are plenty of teams around the league who need him.

and they'll all hope to get a discount after Seattle releases him I guess. Sure hope he's able to catch on somewhere else

KC seems like a natural place for him after he is released

who would want to take on that kind of contract on someone who had one good game in his entire nfl career. Not much to go on.

Well he's got to be better than Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert. My Jags are an absolute dumpster fire.

been saying no one is going to give up anything for him, might as well ride it out and wait till he gets released.

Some team may be willing to give up late round draft pick for him rather than bidding against other teams for his services and this securing him on their team. Would be like a 5th - 7th round pick I assume.

Definitely teams that could use him and $7MM is not a big price tag these days. besides, they'll get him a little cheaper than that I'm sure. SeaHags will have to take some on maybe.

well he WILL be on another team next year, so SOMEONE is going to take on his contract, though it will likely be reworked

Well if he is cut they get to work a new contract probably for less than his current one correct?

Well he is getting 2 million regardless from Seattle because that is his guaranteed portion... Although I could see a team coming in with a 2 year 6 million contract with some incentives as well if he wins the job and performs well.

IMO he's still an unproven commodity. He played well in limited time, but with the Packers. Is he good enough to lift up the dumpster fire franchises in KC and Buffalo?

He'd be good on a team that's ready to win but is missing a qb
