He would have never opened his mouth if the NFL and ESPN didn't jump into politics first. This is still their creation

Just watch for live games and immediately turn the TV off after. The days of Sports Center being pure highlights with the occasional "conversation" are long gone.

Even Sunday NFL and MNF countdown are atrocious now. It's just the evolution ESPN.

JFC you treat Trump just like the toddler he embodies.

There's something Trump sorely lacks in being presidential.

All I said is they still created the problem. He shouldn't have commented on it but he's known to have a pulse on what everyday Americans want and he uses his seat to express our voice.

This may be the most ignorant take on all the shite going on

Is it? The longer those of us who are tired of this crap keep bringing it up in every social venue in the virtual world, the longer this crap continues.

Every single ESPN personality has used this excuse. "Well the players are doing it so we have to talk about it." No you fricking don't. Talk about the actual shite that goes on during the games.

Don't worry bro, you're about to get a guy who leaves politics at the door on your radio station. The great bastion of traditional sports radio, Clay Travis!

Didn’t take long for the producers of the shows to forget the memo.

YOU'RE HATE-WATCHING IT TO BITCH ABOUT IT ON THE MSB

That's why they're doing it. You're rewarding them for their bad behavior.

I had a nice long debate with SVP yesterday on twitter. He calls BS on the 7000 subscribers lost and he defended ESPN with left wing politics. He thinks its being overblown.

Scott Van Pelt is on ESPN live right now telling us that he understands people do not want to hear politics and the overwhelming majority didn't want him to discuss politics but here is the dose of politics because he "has to"

You can blame trump for any politics discussed on espn today. He is the one tossed the gasoline on this fire

I quit watching and listening to ESPN a year ago with the lone exception of LSU games.

I'm happier for it.

Although the LSU games aren't helping this season.

Rusillio said the same sort of thing yesterday on his show. Basically, that he never set out to be a "Radio talk show" type of guy and that if his job ever becomes that specifically. He will quit and do something else.

The ultimate irony of this entire situation is that a lot of the people who are bitching about ESPN being "political" are the same pathological Capitalists whose answer to every unethical business practice in America is "They're a business and their only responsibility is to make money for their shareholders."

But they're so butthurt because ESPN is doing the same thing. When you stop hate-watching Jemele Hill so that you can tattle on her to the rest of the MSB, it ends. I guaran-***-tee you that when ratings go down because they're "too liberal", the liberals go away. They're owned by FREAKIN Disney. You think their suits are going to let their stock price go in the toilet for the sake of political advocacy? And do you think the executives that make the decisions about who gets fired and what gets on the air are Democrats? You're being exploited and you don't even realize it.

This is a major sports story currently. I don't know what else to tell you. POTUS called out a sports league and they responded. You think they should ignore that?

several of the shows basically gave the same exact BS line as their excuse for subsequently talking politics
