As a commentator; he's loud, he's annoying, he's a duke homer.... whatever.
frick all that. The guy genuinely cares about the sport, and people. His passion for cancer research and children is a beautiful thing.
The world could use more dickie v's.

Man that was so passionate. He does so much for that foundation and continuing the work of his good friend

I watch games because of him. I respect his fight for cancer victims and the V foundation. Never thought of him as a a Duke homer I think he truly loves the game

Not a fan of his voice or announcing style. He's annoying as frick on the mic, IMO.
That said, can't knock his passion for the game, and you can't say one bad thing about his off the court pursuits. He's got a heart of gold.
