Terrible use of they. Dude, he is your kid and ultimately your responsibility (if you choose to be in his life). Either say we or shut the frick up and move on.

Who is the "they" his dad is speaking of? The dad is a major affluent douche who raised a spoiled entitled son and now he is getting a taste of real life....who is "they"?

I just don't understand these people. Is their goal to be the Kardashians of the Sports world?

I assure you.
If my Dad found out I was hitting rock bottom, destroying every aspect of my life, and threatening suicide.

He would quit his job, drop everything, and be there with me until I got right.

This is starting to take shape. Early to mid 20's is a textbook time for de compensating and a psychotic break. Rehab for alcohol was a stupid ploy to pacify the masses. In rehab they could have identified this though you would think.

If this is the case his family needs to spill the beans. This makes more sense. The NFL can get him correct treatment. Bipolar is a bitch though. He is probably fricked. And his celebrity and athlete status may always pull him to be non compliant. Which is always an issue with bipolar.

If you can't be Manning, might as well be Leaf.

Most dads would. Johnny dad is the problem. He is not a dad....he's a drinking buddy to his son. The apple didn't fall far...

I doubt his dad is worried about him drinking beer.

Being that his son abuses drugs and alcohol, he probably should care.

You have a good dad. Sadly they aren't all like that.

Word out of Kerrville is Johnny was as big a shithead in high school. That's why Mack Brown wouldn't take him.

The time to help your boy dad, was when you were raising him. You should have done something to rain in his entitlement issues. The dad raised a shithead but supposedly the whole family has the same issues.
