Why cut Kanell when they're trotting out the same show with the same skits and you're rotating in Co-hosts?

Each Co host is Def getting paid for their appearance so were you really overpaying Kanell by so much that this was a better option?

And Russillo looks ridiculous in the suit he wore today for his sc appearance corporate Disney/ESPN management is horrible.

ETA: even if you hated Kanell, this version of the Russillo show sucks in comparison.

the Kannel one was the oddest of the layoffs, co host of a popular show and worked CFB for you.

The layoffs have to be a first step in a much larger strategy. They don't really make much sense on their own.

Kanell got paid quite a bit because it was "Russillo and Kanell"

The guests they trot out on a daily basis dont get paid much. They are trying to make a name for themselves.

So you are right, they are doing the same show, but for much cheaper.

I felt like a permanent Co host like Kanell made the show way better.

Same show, but now Russillo has to explain the bits that they've done for years to each temp Co-host.

Anyone think Russillo likes Will Cain more than Danny?

Dude can hold his own. He's pretty funny. He's quick and witty. He's pretty conservative.

This Will Cain guy is not meshing well. Apparently he said something today that got dumped, I'd love to know what he said. It was really awkward

I felt like Kanell was great w Russillo bc Russ would rip him. He caters to other Co-hosts, understandably so, but the dynamic isn't as good imo.

The Kannel firing made little sense, had to be his salary or ESPN hated his agent/agency.

I want to see Matthew Berrie join RR. I've always liked when he cohosts. He seems like a good time.

If it was purely about money, then one (not you fltigah) would've fired a couple of the co-hosts from the late night/Sat morning shows that don't even compare in terms of content. There's no way it was a money issue and Kanell wouldn't have been willing to negotiate. The fact that he was surprised and based on what Russillo says about the matter tells me it was pure mismanagement.

Am I giving Cain to much credit when I say he's WAY too smart to be doing this job?

He just completely controlled this conversation, did it coming off WAY more intelligent than Russillo, and did it effortlessly.

He is very smart. He doesn't have the personality that pairs with Russillo though. They're mundane and boring as Co-hosts.

I'm digging it. And I think he has plenty charisma.

I guess it depends on how long you've been a fan of the show. First time caller?

Then there's no way you could honestly believe this version of the show is anywhere near as good as the past ~10 years
