There's a difference between being a law abiding citizen and a total sheepish bootlicker afraid to stand up for your constitutional rights as a citizen.
This, "do whatever the cop says" attitude is pretty sad. It's like people have given up on what being American is all about. There was a time when most people in America wouldn't take this bullying shite because they knew their rights.

I would think most real Americans would be for upholding our Constitutional rights and not side with anyone over-stepping their bounds. to our collective detriment..be it CEO's or Corps or Cops. Didn't we fight against tyranny? Didn't we set up rights to protect against tyranny?

If you don't stand up for the framers and later safe-guards enacted - how are you really American at all? Illegal search and seizure, probable cause, imminent threat death or gross bodily harm, etc.
Apparently not many of the above apply anymore. All things can be searched on threat of arrest, probable cause is denying the cops a right they don't have and imminent threat of death is - the suspect moved quickly grabbing for his Slurpee.
