Wow that would be huge for them. Their whole athletic department has been a dumpster fire lately. I hope this is true for the sake of my Illini friends.

I'm hearing very likely. Heard initially it was between him and Frazier. More talk about Lovie as the day goes by. PJ Fleck likely came up as well.

Lovie is a good coach.
Even though it might take a couple of years, I could see him doing well at Illinois. That division isn't exactly a powerhouse.
And I get that coaching college is different from coaching in the pros, but he's coached/recruited at the college level before as an assistant.
FWIW, Jim Mora was a lousy coach in the NFL but he's doing alright at UCLA.
