this is CRAZY... dude hasn't coached since I was BORN... I'll be 28 by the time next season starts

He said today "things have changed since I coached last. In fact, if I knew that I would be up here accepting a job, I would have applied for the Auburn gig. That guy is making 600k"


He also said that the first thing Paul Mainieri told him today (lsu opens the season with UNO next year) is "you got Nola on Friday night"

I'm pretty excited to watch my fellow HC alums play for UNO next season. And the Randolph kid from PB is really good. I think Maestri is going to do a heck of a job.

Hard to estimate him at all, the game has changed so much since he last coached. So many more teams actually competing in college baseball.
What are you expecting from Maestri?

FYI, I'm hearing the kid McWilliams from Rummel might be going to Delgado instead.
