today, vs the rest of the league, the rockets clearly got better. paul will give harden time to play off the ball, attack more on offense and spend more energy on defense. it'll be closer to a few years ago than last year's near triple double performance.

but does CP do anything to really help the Rockets vs Warriors? at the PG position, they already had a defensive bulldog hounding steph curry in beverly. they still don't match up well with them against thompson, durant and draymond on D. ariza is slowing down. anderson is still a statue. it would seem that their only strategy would be to try to outscore the Ws.

also, CP is used to dominating the ball. harden is used to dominating the ball. both of them like making the final pass that leads to the bucket, dribbling in and out of defenses until an opening happens.

there will be a learning curve for certain. as currently constituted, i'd still see the warriors as clear favorites based on team construction alone.

that said, if they get PG13. look out.

Warriors stil clearly better. But all it takes is for Steph to be banged up like he was in the finals two years ago and HOU would be better. and like you said Daryl isnt done yet. Stay tuned.

Would getting PG instead of CP3 not have helped more?

The Warriors are still clearly the favorites. I think other moves will be made but IDK how we catch them.

that would've been my take. it would have allowed them to play anderson less while still having a floor spacing stretch 4.

the warriors are such a weird matchup for everyone. but the league will soon be adjusting.

besides, he still might be coming. and if you have PG to matchup on durant that would be... wow. just wow.

Two years ago GSW didn't also have Kevin Durant who is CLEARLY a better player than Harden.

Durant/Klay > Harden/Paul

Nope.

Durant and Steph are better. Not Durant and klay.

2 teams have two top 10 players.

CC and GSW.

Those are prob your best two teams next year.

weirdly, three teams have two top ten players.
rockets, warriors and....

pelicans. it's just that the pelicans best players play the same fricking position and are surrounded by absolute garbage.

This doesn't even put the Rockets in the conversation.

I'd love watching them(I will as is, btw), but I don't think they can get him now.

Get PG and he can be on Durant.
Bev still gets to hound Curry.
Let Harden go HAM again like last season.

Plus PG clearly isn't the ball handler that CP3 is...but he's definitely a guy who could spell Harden during games if being tired is the issue.

i don't think they have the assets, but you never know. morey always has a stockpile of firsts and picks etc. maybe in a three teamer?

maybe working with the cavs to move kevin love?

you just never know. looks like morey is pushing his chips onto the table.

I don't think many consider boogie a top 10 player.

Top 10 talent yes.

i'm not a pelicans fan, so it's okay. top 10? top 15? it doesn't matter. all nba talents.

i think he is. he's the best C in the league and it's not even close. he's just got a bad rap and has been on TERRIBLE teams. but he's dominant.

the trade i want to see happen is boogie to the cavs for love. like it for both teams.
