As recently noted right here on Wrestling Inc., two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair will be featured on an upcoming episode of ESPN's 30 for 30 series. Flair recently took to his podcast, WOOOOO! Nation, to share some details on the upcoming project.
According to 'the Nature Boy', the special will be a full 30 for 30 episode, unlike the 30 for 30 Shorts episode detailing the Von Erichs. Flair stated that his episode of 30 for 30 will cover his whole life, including his professional wrestling championships, his personal life, and more.
Ill be watching. I would like to see how one person gets so broke.

Met him at Rick's on bourbon around 2000. Good times. Can't wait for this 30 for 30.

I want to see what happened between him and the WWF in the early 90's.

I hope they talk about "The Plane Ride from Hell" incident.
‘Two flight attendants, Taralyn Cappellano and Heidi Doyle, would compile their allegations into a 2004 lawsuit. Chief among the chronicled misdeeds was [Flair’s] sexual aggression. He wore nothing but a jewelled cape, the flight attendants said, and ‘flashed his nakedness, spinning his penis around.’ He separately grabbed each woman’s hand and placed it on his crotch, and then ‘forcibly detained and restrained’ Doyle ‘from leaving the back of the galley of the airplane while he sexually assaulted her.”
WHOOOOOOOO
WALTMAN:
“Then frickin’ Flair comes out in his robe…”
CREDIBLE:
“…nothing on underneath…”
WALTMAN:
“…frickin’ balls naked, struttin’ down the aisleway…”
CREDIBLE:
” Sixty year old man, junk flying everywhere. Going up to the stewardesses, ‘C’mon sweetheart! [flashes open robe] ‘WOOOOO!!!’

This could be very good. Back then, those guys had to endure a tough lifestyle. They were always on the road. Even though the outcome of matches was predetermined, they still had a very physically demanding job. All of which led to family problems, etc.
I hope they are able to paint an accurate picture of what all of that was like. Flair was very charismatic, but I've always sensed that he was a jerk in his actual life.

Not a lot has changed. They are still on the road 300 days a year.

They are monitored nowadays a hell of a lot more.
Vince's company is public, he doesn't want people making him look bad or hurting business. Back then though, even probably as far as up to 1999..they were trusted to watch out for themselves. Social media and the internet has also changed things, word gets around about things so much easier.
