Both had meteoric rises but are relegated now. Pretty strange given both had good passing numbers.

I was pretty surprised with their early sucess but more so now by their regression.

I think RG3 might be salvageable.

Kaep just isn't a smart player.

Kaep had a really good team and coach around him. Now, not so much.

RG3 has had major injury issues that Kaep has not.

My bad. I did not pay any attention to dumpster fire San Fran this year. But he had regressed way before that.

Jim Tomfrickingsula was Kaep's coach this year.

RGIII was set up pretty nicely in the shannys' systemn but got hurt then came back too soon(#minorsetbackforamajorrecovery). Then he got hurt again and it was pretty obvious from the early days that gruden didn't really fancy him as the guy

kaep is a little more confusing as his play started to drop even while harbs was still around. teams figuring him out after a couple years may have had some to do with it but his intangibles as a passer really dropped off too

I'm more concerned about Aaron Rodgers

kap is your classic running QB who takes the NFL by storm and falls back to earth the next year when Ds adjust

RG3 got way overrated by a a gimmick system (similar issue as kap) and then got injured. plus mentally he hasn't handled not being pampered like a star well and that doesn't really help anyone involved

I guess Kaep seemed better than just a running QB. He was making big plays in that offense. I do think SF had a stellar oline that gave him way more time than anyone else got.

RG3 doesn't play anymore for his team.

Kaepernick had multiple injuries this year. Also it didn't help that his team and coaching staff was depleted.

if you had said this about RG3 i'd agree, but kap? c'mon

then ran zone-read out of nowhere and it made NFL Ds look like they were retarded for a while. then they adjusted and he looked like poo

He wasn't as good as rg3 in the passing game but he was making deep throws on the reg. Intermediate passing game wasn't great but he wasn't just a scrambling QB.

Kaep was a gimmick that took the league about a year to figure out. He was just never that good to begin with.

RG3 just took too many hits going back to college and is a pretty soft person/player.

Kaep is not a great passer, and makes really bad decisions

Jim Harbaugh and Mike Shanahan are two of the best offensive minds in football along with Andy Reid. They elevate the level of their QBs like few coaches can.
