In December, when we last heard from Tiger Woods, he gave a depressing press conferenceabout the state of his back.

At the time, Tiger said his rehab consisted of walking, he was playing video games to pass the time, and there was "no light at the end of the tunnel."

Now, according to Robert Lusetich, author of "Unplayable: An Inside Account of Tiger's Most Tumultuous Season," Tiger's future to golf seems in jeopardy, as his condition has worsened.

This is really cruel fate. Tiger has all the money in the world, but I wonder if he has any hobbies outside of playing golf and slaying poon to enjoy.

I believe his agent came out and directly refuted these reports today. With that said, wtf else would you expect his agent to do.

as someone who suffers from chronic back pain there is nothing more annoying than when people give you shite about not sitting

"you'd rather stand?!"

Nah. It's great when the greatest athletes of all time stop playing because of injury.

I have been a Tiger fan. I just get bored with the fact that he has been working on his game for how many years when the other pros take two weeks to fix an issue. Also anytime he doesn't okay well he starts walking funny and winces.
Every golfer in the world, including his competitors, wanted his swing. Too bad he didn't.

Skilled, not a great athlete... let alone THE greatest of all time.

You know what I mean

Plus, the definition of athlete is being proficient in a sport.

On Golf Central, Tim Rosaforte said U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III told him that Tiger Woods is "making progress," and Notah Begay III said Woods is "getting better" and "starting to move like a human again.” Rosaforte said Begay has been telling Woods, "nobody has ever been accused of coming back too late.” Rosaforte heard through sources in South Florida that Woods was having difficulty sitting or riding in a golf cart, but that was six weeks ago. While it's highly unlikely that Woods will return in time for the Masters, Rosaforte feels it is more likely he will come back sometime during the summer.

I tend to believe what Tim and Notah write rather some unknown sports writer.

Wow. This would suck. I have said since that November night he would never win another major. I now hope I am wrong. I thought it would be because of his mind not his back.i hope he can recover enough to give us one more good run.

I agree but what would you expect them to say? Especially Notah, who's a longtime friend.

Time will tell.
