Replace Lebron with MJ, would the Cavs be the favorites?

The GOAT would still be the underdog, right?

underdog....but MJ would win cuz that's what GOATs do

Probably but MJ >>>> Lebron

They would have already just handed the Cavs the trophy after the Warriors retreated from sheer terror
Posted on 6/2/17 at 9:10 am to StrongBackWeakMind
No. They'd lose even worse.
Posted on 6/2/17 at 9:10 am to StrongBackWeakMind
Nah yo. MJ can still make that team look weak by simply staring them down.

KD would have joined the cavs

It would be amusing to see mj vs green. Fist fight at the jump.
Hold me back, says mj, hold me back.
Hold me back, says mj, hold me back.

Of course not. LeBron going up against the Warriors is the equivalent of Jordan going up against the Celtics/Pistons during the early part of his career. It doesn't matter how good one player is if the rest of his team is vastly inferior.

The thing about MJ is that he is capable of completely taking over games with absolutely dominating and demoralizing performances.
LeBron sometimes almost disappears on the court.
The Warriors would still be the favorites against an MJ-led Cavs team, but I think Jordan would be more effective than LeBron.

at the very least it would be competitive.
8 turnovers...4 missed free throws...and when did LeBron become such a shite defender on the perimeter?

MJ putting up 40+ still wouldn't have saved the Cavs last night.

MJ scoring 40, not turning the ball over 8 times and playing defense would have...but that's because he's the GOAT

quote:Well of course he was, but LeBron has done this many times, including twice in last year's Finals alone--not to mention Boston 2012 and Detroit 2007.

quote:2011 Finals aside, where he did disappear, I think this is largely due to the differences in their games. Even when MJ was way off, he kept shooting, whereas LeBron naturally gets others involved especially when he's not shooting well.
LeBron sometimes almost disappears on the court.

Honestly I think the Cavs lose worse with MJ.
