I honestly don't know one single person who watches or keeps up with this. Personally, I've never watched a WNBA game in my life. However, I just clicked on Espn's website to check on some baseball things, and the top three headlines, along with current scores are WNBA. Further down the page was NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, and MLB news. It's not hard to see why ESPN is in a free fall.

If I had to guess, ABC has a monetary interest in the WNBA.

I understand that, but you've heard that definition of insanity, right?

It's oppressive to women. They are equals and should be given the same chance to play in the NBA as men. Need to make 2 NBAs and the best 900 players get spots not based on gender.

The WNBA has had a rapid decline. For a brief moment, they had games on NBC, arenas had actual fans in seats, and people knew some names of players.

ESPN pushing this on their web page is just another act of stupidity on their part. Nobody is clicking on that shite, and eventually they'll figure it out and move on to some other agenda to push.

corporate synergy is a real thing

not to mention, promoting the WNBA is probably in their contract with the NBA

James Harden has a strong following, so there is obviously room for other WNBA stars.

Bulldykes love it. A few years into the league, I was at a restaurant and had the bartender change the TV that was showing a WNBA game. A couple of them hopped up and threatened to whoop me.

The problem is the game itself. Need to lower the rims so the more athletic girls can demonstrate that. Just playing with a different sized basketball isn't enough.

The WNBA is a social justice project.

Would have 900 men then. Doesn't fix a thing.

Lesbians need something to do and watch.

The WNBA is there for them.

As long as I never have to watch it or see highlights on the news, I'm ok with it existing.

Didn't there used to be another woman's pro league back in the '90s that co existed with it?

I think it was season opener today
in any event the NBA requires its rights holders to push it
without NBA cash it would have folded long ago...the owners agreed to fund it so whatever
