I've been slacking on my derby preps. Really like strong mandate this year. He's one on my watch list (put him there after breeders cup). Need to handicap the race still.

Anybody else playing the ponies?

I haven't been unfortunately. Who's on your list for the Derby Aspy?

I've been slacking. By now I've usually got about 9 horses and I'm trying to whittle it down. Right now I've just got a few I'm interested in. Like string mandate, like intense holiday, and I've been making money on California chrome since summer.

He's interesting to me and, despite the pulpit in his line, kinda looks like stretching out wont be hard.

Of course, I first started betting him because he's red with a lot of chrome . Even knowing a bit about handicapping can't stop me from betting pretty.

Risen Star Stakes at FG looking strong. The Rebel winner ran fourth last out in the Risen Star.

Saw Gantry won yesterday. Congrats.
I like California Chrome so far and the Rebel results bode well for some horses that were not in it because they beat Hoppertunity in other preps.
