So Far...

This one is inspired by the Bengi thread.

1. The Two Escobars - Compelling story mixing sports in with real world issues of the time.

2. The Best That Never Was - I really had to hold back the tears a couple of times watching this one. Dupree seemed to be a mix b/w Bo Jack & A.P.

3. Pony Express - I always heard references of the "Death Penalty" but it wasn't until this doc that I understood the significance behind its ruling.

4. Miller Time - I grew up cherishing the Pacers, Knicks, Bulls, and Heat rivalries of the 90's. Reggie was the biggest part of it all.

5. The U - So many great pro athletes to run through that tunnel and through that smoke. It was fun to see how the "U" got there start and took over the college landscape.

1. Into the Wind
2. The Two Escobars
3. Unguarded (technically not a 30 for 30, but awesome)
4. No Crossover
5. The U (only cause of the swag)

I still have to see The Best There Never Was, Pony Excess, Once Brothers, and many more. Supposedly, they are on Netflix and I was just offered a second free trial of Netflix, so the next month of my life is wasted.

I looked through the Wiki page for 30 for 30. Turns out I have seen 26 of them (including the 30 for 30 Presents and the second season).

1) The Two Escobars-Almost got nominated for an Oscar

2) June 17, 1994-Loved the unique format with no talking heads

3) The Best There Never Was

4) Once Brothers

5) The Marinovich Project

6) Without Bias

7) The Dotted Line

8) Unguarded

9) Tim Richmond: To the Limit

10) The Announcement

The only ones I disliked were Straight Out of LA, Marion Jones: Press Pause (awful), One Night in Vegas (the two teen poets might have been the worst segment in ESPN history), and to a lesser extent, Run Ricky Run.

Worst: Straight Outta LA (and I'm a Raiders fan) and King's Ransom (Peter Berg really missed the mark on this one, edited to be boring as hell.)
