Maybe. I think that's a much better debate than Rice and Moss.

Neither is debatable if you care about the fate of the planet.

To me, that and playmaking ability are two different things. Like you said earlier, Rice just always seemed a little better and a little faster than whoever was chasing him, whether it was an lb or a db. He always made plays no matter who he was playing against.

It was frustrating as a saints fan. Rice was always getting into the end zone one inch ahead of the defender and tacklers just seemed to fall off of him.

Watching moss play as a saints fan was just downright demoralizing. He's blowing by guys, and doing so effortlessly. The 2001 NFC divisional game between the Vikings and saints was just depressing because from the outset you knew he was focused and that meant we were fricked. The giants got lucky the next week. Randy didn't even try.

Yeah, I hate Jerry Rice, but I recognize how awesome he was.

And speaking of that alien test, this is a big reason not to pick Randy.

Exactly what I was thinking when that dumb alien scenario was presented. I'll take the receiver who balled to 215 yards in one SB and 3 TDs each in two other SB's.

Methinks if the fate of the world is at stake, he'll put in maximum effort. Unlike yourself, I believe Mr. Moss cares about the fate of the planet.

I'd like to see comparison numbers on long TD catches.

Moss: 46
Rice: 54

You do realize that this Alien Test shtick is pretty stupid, right?

Just to refresh people's memory because moss in Minnesota was a freak. In NE he was diet freak and still dominated.

I watched that yesterday and I think it supports what I'm saying

Rice is better. Randy was a freak talent and was more explosive. I don't know why posters on TD refuse to admit that. It doesn't make moss the better player.

Ok, you win. Moss was much faster and could jump higher.

Still don't think he was necessarily a better playmaker. Still think it's dumb to say Rice wasn't jaw dropping. Rice in his prime was every bit as unstoppable as Moss in his prime.

Probably the GOAT in adjusting speed and covering distance while the bomb is in the air. Would outrun anyone for a deep ball. Those freakish skills aside. Not even close to best WR ever.

I'd take Jerry over Randy 10/10

Show me where I said moss is the GOAT troll. Better hurry up and buy up all the niners gear, I bet it's selling quickly.
