Went to ND vs USC last night and its a huge game for ND, obviously. People stood all game but there was pretty much no noise. What gives? Have heard the same thing about Michigan as well. I was shocked last night at how quiet the stadium was all game.

No need to make a fuss in Jesus' house.

One of the more disappointing college football experiences I've had. The energy felt more subdued than I expected from a stadium that size.

A friend of mine lived in Chicago for many years and worked with lots of Michigan guys. They took him to a game and he said it was the quietest stadium he has ever been to

The Chargers had to use a silent count for a Monday night game at their own stadium last week

Went to the LSU/ND game in 99 in south bend. It was eerily quiet

Outside of the student section, we are generally quiet. If you were in the south endzone I wouldn't expect it to be loud for you. Not only that but a bunch of students had actually gone home for fall break already.. I was in the student section and stood next to two guys from K State cheering for USC.

Coming from a family that loves LSU, it's pretty funny seeing some ND fans think that our stadium is some loud behemoth of a crowd that should be feared

I've heard that the shape of michigan stadium funnels sound straight up. That's coming from a couple of UM alums though.
