Question for Pitt Panther fans

Before joining the SEC, South Carolina played a couple home and homes with Pitt. The old Pitt Stadium seemed like a gem of a college football stadium. Why was it torn down and can Pitt not get a stadium of its own? I feel like that would help it immensely with home-field advantage. Just curious as I've always had a soft spot for them.

Yah that is a cool looking stadium

There is no room to build a new stadium.

Pitt only sells out when ND, WVU and Penn State come to town. Then its pretty much a neutral site game.

Pitt completely deemphasized football, Heinz field is less than five miles away, a good call, it's a good call saving millions.

The city when it comes to CFB is divided by four schools.
WVU,Penn State, tOSU and Pitt.
Can't wait for that WVU v Penn State game in at Heinz

This is the correct answer. If you've ever been to Pittsburgh, you'd know this.

Honest question. Do we have a resident Pitt fan in this board?

I thought there were a couple. I seem to remember talking with one or two last year on this board during and after their win against Clemson.
