Question for Pensacola HS football followers

How did Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin end up landing at Stanford? Seems a bit of an odd choice unless he was an academic. Which schools were in the running for him?

That's the only way you get in to Stanford. Stanford is not a regional school. Andrew Luck is from Houston, TX

Stanford recruits nationally.

He's also technically from Gulf Breeze which is much nicer than Pensacola.

According to this article, Stanford was his only D-1 offer.

Don't know if that's true or not, but Stanford definitely recruits nationwide.
