With the current San Diego and Oakland proposal to move to LA and share a stadium, they are also agreeing to switch divisions to make scheduling easier. What would be the potential switch?

Seattle back to the NFC, and the Chargers to the NFC.

They won't break up the new rivalry between San Fran and Seattle, since Seattle doesn't really have another (at least San Fran has the Packers and Cowboys, even if not their primary). In this scenario StL world's head over.

In fact Houston to the AFC West and StL to the AFC South makes the most sense.

Wy not just switch one of the Chargers/Raiders to the NFC West and the STL Rams to the AFC West? That way the Rams and Chiefs could play twice/yr.

the NFL won't change divisions. Before the current realignment you had and still have Dallas in the NFC east. I would love to tell Jerry Jones to stick it and move to the South or West.

Remember when they had Tampa in the NFC Central? They had Atlanta and New Orleans in the NFC West.

The NFL has already said that either the Raiders or Chargers would have to change conferences if they both move to LA and share a stadium. It is just too much of a headache to have 2 division rivals share a stadium.

I miss getting to see the niners live every year.

2002 was the biggest arse kicking i remember in the dome. Jeff Garcia/Terell Owens went off in that game.

My first Falcons game was the home game against the 1999 Rams. I would put that game up against any game as the biggest arse kicking in the dome. It was something like 41-7 in the third quarter before Vermeil called off the dogs.

As mentioned before, SD to NFCW (all four teams on or near west coast) and STL to AFCW. I think SD and Oakland both were charter members of AFC so it would suck to break that tradition but Oakland/Denver/KC have been good rivalries for a long, long time. Moving SD is the lesser of two evils.

I think if they do realign divisions, now would be the perfect time to make some slight realignments in other divisions as well.

AFC North:

Cleveland
Cincinnati
Indianapolis
Pittsburgh

AFC South:

Miami
Houston
Tennessee
Jacksonville

AFC East:

New England
New York
Baltimore
Buffalo

AFC West:

Los Angeles
Denver
Kansas City
St Louis

NFC North:

Chicago
Green Bay
Minnesota
Detroit

NFC South:

New Orleans
Carolina
Tampa Bay
Atlanta

NFC East:

New York
Philadelphia
Washington
Dallas

NFC West:

Los Angeles
Seattle
San Francisco
Arizona

I hated realignment as a Saints fan. We got our arse kicked by San Fran every year in the late 80's early 90's. Then the Rams move to St. Louis and go off with Kurt Warner building one of the best offenses of all time. Then we realign and add the laughing stock of the NFL in Tampa... who turns everything around and builds one of the best defenses in the NFL. Seems so unfair.

While I agree with your realignment, the two South divisions are really terrible. Jeez..
