Rule Book Here

quote:

e. Loss of ball simultaneous to returning to the ground is not a catch, interception or recovery.

f. When in question, the catch, recovery or interception is not completed.

There is still no down by contact rule in college football. And why did you leave off the other parts in the rule book? B/C it ultimately proved you wrong? In the same section: "c. A catch by any kneeling or prone inbounds player is a completion or interception"

And I am not trying to hijack this thread so...

The point is that he clearly didn't intercept the ball. That's all I'm saying.

I'm not sure why you are defending this play; Michael Williams clearly a hand on the ball and is down by contact.

Why is anyone discussing this play in this fantastic thread? (No sarcasm, this is a great thread).

This is a meaningless play from a game that essentially didn't count.

Move on to something else.

Thread derailed by stupid arguments over a boundary-line call in a football game that doesn't matter anymore and no one cares except butt-hurt idiots who have no life.

Awesome job guys.
