It pisses me off that ESPN, Cowherd, Grantland, and other media outlets give this piece of shite and his company credibility by bringing him on their show as if he is an expert at anything. He doesn't know jack shite, he is just another crook run of the mill tout who has no actual sports betting knowledge, so he has to sell picks instead.

His company Pregame has been caught multiple times lying about their touts records, selling both sides of the line, hiding losses via selection bias, and grading losses as wins by using bullshite lines that were never available. Yet ESPN and Cowherd and the rest continue to turn a blind eye to all of that and call him a sports betting expert.

He has no insider Vegas connections. His trends that he posts on twitter are meaningless bullshite.

Anyone with any experience betting on sports knows that touting is the most slimy, scummy, criminal "enterprise" there is.

Out of the thousands of touts, only one of them is not slime, Right Angle Sports, but even then I would never buy picks from anyone. The rest are all scum.

"Those who can win betting on sports, bet on sports. Those who can't win, go tout and sell their picks."

Fraud, Fraud, Fraud

Bob Scucci may work at a Las Vegas Sportsbook but HE IS NOT AN ORIGINATOR. Aka he is not the one actually doing the math and setting the lines. He is more of a PR guy than anything.

I just call the 1-800 number I hear on the radio for Jonathan Stone's "Stone Cold Lock of the Week" every week. It hasn't failed me in 3 years.

There are a lot of people out there that are dumb enough to buy picks tho - as long as that continues, touts will sell.

Until people stop being dumb, the gambling tout will exist.

I agree with you there, Darwin's law in action.

There is a poster on a board tracking Pregame tout Steve Fezzik and if you have been tailing him since they brought him on in January 2014 I believe you would be down $5,000. Yet Pregame touts him as a winner and lies about his record.

With that being said, ESPN, New York Times, Grantland, and the likes should know this and stop giving these guys publicity and credibility.

Fezzik won the Supercontest twice. That's why people follow him.

That was 8 years ago. What has he done since? What is his record since? What has he done since he won the Super Contest to show that he can still cap?

Lots of people asked these questions to RJ, and what was RJ's response? Deflection. He didn't answer the questions, he just mocked those asking the legitimate questions. Bsaically, "LOL, you are going to say a 2 time Hilton winner can't cap". That's because he KNEW that Fezzik has no worthwhile record since then, so he has to go all the way back to 2008 to pimp him.

Besides, winning the Super Contest is all luck. Plus, even if skill were involved, all winning the Super Contest shows is that you can cap using stale lines. Super Contest lines don't move.

Read this as to why the Super Contest is all luck:

This is pretty strong evidence that betting on NFL is like playing the slots. I can’t prove that Iced Tea has no skill specifically, but in any group of 515 people, there are going to be some that appear to be really good (or bad) at guessing coin flips. That’s essentially what is happening here and why Vegas is what it is. The Hilton is brilliant to put on the Supercontest because it gives the illusion that certain people can win a significant majority of their picks.

Oh I know. It's like the WSOP. But you're still going to have lots of people following you so why not take money if people want to give it to you? If you had people willing to pay for your charts and graphs would you still give them away?

Besides, if you want to follow him then fade his plays you can do that. But I'd have a hard time telling people no that want to give me money for my opinion

Oh I completely agree. I have been approached by people wanting me to tout for them because of my graphs and charts. It's nothing new. I say no because I don't want to make money scamming people. It's not right.

My issue with all of this isn't the touts, but the media outlets like ESPN and New York Times who should know better. They are giving these guys credibility by having them on their shows, and using them as sources for their articles. This in turn draws more people to their scam tout services that otherwise wouldn't have. ESPN is basically leading sheep to the slaughter.

The key here for ESPN is that you don't have to get someone who knows what they are talking about. You just have to appear like you are an expert. Just throw out stats, fancy terminology, and connect the dots for people. People will think you're an expert. It's a cheap trick of presentation...all shine but no substance. People like me and you might see this but not the avg espn audience.
