What a weird weekend. I didn't see this coming from Stenson.

Mickelson's -17 would have won 141 of the 145 British opens ever played

Well when people are evaluating him they represent part of a very good overall record

To him I bet they are extremely disappointing. The Buffalo Bills don't jump up and down about 4 SB losses but pretty much everybody agrees they were a fine team in that era.

mickelson just got beat by the better guy today, unfortunately for him.

stenson earned it, obviously. mickelson can't feel all too badly. he was really good at augusta last year too when spieth blew away the field.

mickelson has probably cemented himself as a top ten golfer of all time. not too bad, despite the heartbreak in majors.

congrats to henrik stenson. that was one of the best performances ever. he's a champion and he deserves it. his putter was absolutely on fire.

It's hard to beat a man who's 1 up to start who shoots 63, give Phil a break, he's had his mind blowing frick ups but today was different.

Obviously, Phil is disappointed that he did not win. However given how he played and more importantly house Stenson played, I doubt he is down on himself or his play.

He did not lose this major. Stenson won it

Mickelson was fantastic, but I think I can sum up Phil's weekend succinctly with two words.

Tough titties.

20 times sub 270 has been shot in a major. 11 won.

Phil Mickelson has done it 3 times.

He won 0.

This runner up conversation never goes to where it should...jack Nicklaus runner up 19 times and 18 wins. Considering he played about 100 majors in his prime, that's an amazing feat.
