If my child was being born, I would not need a private jet.

The conversation went from Phil making the graduation to tiger wouldn't do it for his child's birth.

As usual

Which was what I was referring to. A 8th grade graduation? Most would or could not have done it. Phil has the means and DGAF.

Yeah I think most people who didn't have a private jet would skip the graduation.

As long as Phil doesn't shoot 10 over today no one will care, like others have said dude probably slept on an actual bed in the private jet or something, which he probably does often traveling cross country.

I dont think the rest/sleep will be his issue. He missed a day or so preparing. Hitting balls, testing the course. That will more than likely be his biggest issue..

I still think he plays well

Pretty clear you don't have children. Phil has always put family first. This is the same child that he got special permission from the USGA to carry the pager in 2000 in case Amy went into labor. He had a driver and plane ready and he was going to leave the course mid-hole if necessary.

Agreed. For those in this thread that don't have children, please don't post your baseless opinion and BS. Until you have your own and become a selfless person and find nothing but pure joy in that, shut the hell up.

I think it's cool that Phil is going and putting family first. That said...8th grade graduation is a joke.

it may be to you but every event in YOUR child's life is significant. It is not what matters to you, it is what matters to them.

If a guy doesn't have a private jet he isn't going to an 8th grade graduation.

I guess if parents want to have a celebration every time their kid takes an impressive shite then they should go for it.

I agree, I am discussing principles of importance here. All of us in this thread are not PGA players sharing similar logistical issues

wow, you just don't get it do you? My eldest just had pre-k graduation, we went to his grad and I moved a business trip around for it. Why? I will never get to experience that again, he will never get another chance to see how proud of him we are. Its the little things man. Assuming you have no children, promptly exit this thread until you can offer more logical input. The stance of singles and those married against kids is fine, just don't throw your crap out at me because I share my beliefs for supporting my children.
