serious question ... how is this not the free market at work? ... businesses are free to act/respond/decide in any way they wish ... that's the definition of "free" ... trump is free to say what he wants ... the pga is free to respond the way it wants ... some might call it pandering to a particular group, but businesses do that every day ...

there's nothing scheduled at turnberry yet, and it does need remodeling ... he hired an R&A-approved architect to oversee the redesign of some key holes (basically told the R&A to do the work at his expense), but the Open is not scheduled at Turnberry at the present time ... and i doubt they were thrilled that he bought the place ... and the Open goes to st andrews every five years, so the number of courses is limited ... he pisses off the pga too much and the R&A might just wash their hands of turnberry ... it's not one of the older or royal courses ... cadillac is the sponsor of the wgc event at doral, so they control that situation ...
