1. Why have you not taken any of the chances to more strongly proclaim your innocence, if you’re innocent? There was the post-AFC title game press conference, the Bob Costas NBC interview, the Jim Gray interview at Salem State. For someone on whom Patriots owner Robert Kraft has staked his personal and professional reputation, Brady’s been a monk on this topic, leaving everyone to wonder: Why doesn’t an innocent man, if he’s innocent, proclaim his innocence?
2. Are you a cheater? Peter Alexander of NBC News asked this question in that January press conference, and Brady had a most curious response: “I don’t think so.” It’s a simple yes or no question.
3. Did you ever tell Patriots employees John Jastremski or Jim McNally, directly or through an intermediary, to deflate game footballs to your liking? This is the crux of the case, really. If I had one question, this would be it. Of course, I’ve suspected that if Brady were involved in tampering with the balls, it might not be in a direct way that leaves his fingerprints on the process. So …

Peter King is a sellout whore for the NFL. If he has a wet dream, I'm sure Roger Goodell is in it.

I'm glad you posted a few of the questions so that I didn't have to give Peter King clicks.

yeah well PFT actually defending King today with the way King was going after questions to ted wells with the notion that people usually think of him being an nfl puppet.

4. Tom, did you study ALL of the rule book? What did you have in store for the next week?
quote:
The Ravens' main complaint was they weren't given enough notice that the player was not eligible, Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning. Rapoport added the play was not illegal, and they were given some notice -- and it was announced in the stadium -- but the Ravens felt it wasn't enough. To review, the referees will go through the game Sunday and look at the mechanics like always.
Tom Brady countered in typical Patriots fashion, saying "maybe those guys gotta study the rule book and figure it out. We obviously knew what we were doing and we made some pretty important plays. It was a real good weapon for us. Maybe we'll have something in store next week."

That's the exact quote that made me think he was lying.
If you have no knowledge of breaking the rules, then by definition you are not a cheater and the answer is a flat no. But he couldn't even say that.

I don't really think it's that simple. The word "cheater" is pretty subjective.

Does Peter King not know this story broke the day after?

In Brady's mind, I believe he knows he broke the rules but doesn't consider it cheating, if that makes sense.
In that respect, neither do I. I don't think you can make a HOF career off of deflated balls. People calling into question his greatness because of this are idiots IMO.
But he still broke the rules.
