quote:

Ray Allen, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, is considering making a comeback, according to league sources. Allen's representatives reached out to the Golden State Warriors recently about the possibility of Allen joining the Western Conference champions. The Warriors are unsure whether they want to pursue the future Hall of Famer, sources said. Allen, who will turn 41 on July 20, is also not absolutely sure he wants to return after sitting out the past two seasons. But he is intrigued by the possibility of playing for another championship, and in addition to the Warriors, he would consider joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers, sources said.

Cue multiple sources.

We might see a boycott next year if this keeps up.

They aren't going to have problems filling their bench. Just waiting on Tyson Chandler or someone like that to take a buyout and there ya go

Basically at this point he could literally only be brought in to sit in a corner and shoot 3's.

Honestly regardless of how good he is, I don't even see him playing except in garbage time. Defensively he'd be useless

Allen can come in with 5 seconds to go, and require a defender. Spacing for Klay, kd, and curry.

Ray Allen has become the NBA equivalent of a gold digger.

What's the point of coming back just to sit on the bench?

Hired gun.

If you feel you can still contribute and a team is willing to give you money, why not?

Reggie Miller almost joined the Celtics in 2007. Difference is he didn't have a ring, ray has a couple. Stay retired Jesus.

Being part of a really fun team to play on that's going to win a ton of games and have a high probability of winning the title.

They have played basketball and traveled with their teammates for nearly their whole life. It's hard to give up..even if you aren't a factor. Just being on the plane ride, bus ride, hotel room, etc. has to be exciting.
