People will never put Lebron on the same pedestal as they do MJ/Kobe

This video is the perfect example why.

The biggest difference between MJ/Kobe and Lebron is that fierceness to the point of overwhelming competitiveness.

For backstory on the video, The Bulls had just drafted Corey Benjamin with their first pick that year and Benjamin had called Jordan out in an interview. Jordan "came out of retirement" and dropped by a Bulls practice one day and this video is the result. The way he just completely brutalizes him not only on the scoreboard, but verbally and psychologically is something he and Kobe had that Lebron just doesn't. Fair or not, I believe it's that gear that will always keep Lebron on the outer edge of the 3.

Of course not.

Why would I put LeBron on a lower tier pedestal.

Jordan has more blocks per game than Lebron. And lebron is bigger and suppose to be more athletic?

People that think Kobe belongs in the discussion with MJ or Lebron are the same people that believe in astrology and ghosts.

Similarly, there's nothing to support that those things are based on facts either.

Jordan as proved in his HOF speech...

Was basically a psychopath.

Which is sometimes needed in sport.

Kobe wasn't but desperately wanted to be like Jordan - copying his speech pattern, his tone, his interview style, his shot, his moves, hell even the chewing of the gum.

Magic was an egomaniac too - he just smiled a lot...but Magic became a killer.

Bird was a killer - he thought up insult and slights that opponents had done to him to get him motivated to murder them on the court and talked trash all game to keep his juices going.

LeBron seems like he just plays basketball without trying to prove anything or without making up trash talking. Maybe last year's Finals and the final games was the first time I saw a killer LeBron but the Warriors were also disintegrating after the suspension and injuries.

Even if LBJ had that in him, it's such a different time now, he wouldn't be able to get away with that stuff. Just the stories of Jordan calling Reinsdorf a fat arse on the team bus. LeBron does something like that now, we have a new 30 for 30 the next week.

I said as much during the time too. It was the first time I saw Lebron kick it into true closer gear.
