Robert Kraft said: You know what I'm going to do about this!?

And Goodell was like: What...

And Kraft was like: Nothing! Because if I take it to court it's just going to drain 8 hours out of my life and you probably won't show up! So what I'm gonna doooo.. is piss and moan like an impotent jerk, and bend over and TAKE IT UP THE TAILPIPE!

The nfl and kraft trolled pats fans pretty hard for the last few weeks. I wonder how much jersey sales increased. I would imagine this is usually a dead period relative to other times of the year for jersey sales.

Well played NFL and Bob Kraft. Well played.

Pats fans are conspicuously absent in this thread. Would love for wildtiger and Jcoryre to express how they feel about being duped.

I'm not a lawyer but how does Galaxy Court supercede Universe Court?

I thought the team had very little chance of winning an appeal anyway based on the fact that they don't have the power that Brady has being part of a union.

I just want Brady to play. Precedent is on his side. And I have a feeling Kraft reminded Goodell of this.

They made a under the table deal. Brady is getting his suspension either cut in half or vacated all together. That shady organization is corrupt to the bone. Payton should have sued the shite out of the NFL in 2012. They had no evidence. 4 stolen Super Bowls and nothing but a slap on the wrist.

No, it's nothing but quid pro quo all around.

NFL handing down the punishment appeases the 31 other owners and the angry public mob. Kraft appears extremely hurt initially. He had to appear that way to sell the punishment. He then "recluctantly" accepts the ruling in a show of solidarity between the owners and the league.

In turn, Brady gets his suspension wacked down to basically nothing, handed down by the now-benevolent Roger Goodell. Hell Pats may come out ahead if Garapollo has a good audition, they may get higher first round picks back yet in a trade for him.

Well that can't be true. Reports were that their friendship was dead

Does anyone really think Goodell didn't run those penalties by Kraft beofre issuing them?

This whole thing is BS and a typical NFL attempt to stay in the headlines during the offseason. Pure PR, all publicity is good publicity.
