I wouldn't say better. But younger and cheaper yes.

Colts just resigned another TE

They can have former Colt, Coby Fleener if they want.

laugh all you want but that is the Patriots way. Throughout Belichick's tenure they have never been afraid of getting rid of great players a yr or 2 too early. Gronk has stayed injured and they have proven they can win without him. Not farfetched at all to assume his time is up

He fits Bennett mold. Athletic guy that is a good blocking TE. sold insurance for Gronk and a good fit in the system

I'm surprised the colts are willing to even do business with the Pats. I guess grigson is gone

He's on a team friendly contract and is the best in the game. He isn't going anywhere.

Makes sense.

Allen is a good fit with the Pats and a really good complement to Gronk. Younger and cheaper than Bennett and you don't have to worry about Allens attitude and all that.

Bennett had a great attitude last year. That stuff is overblown for him IMO

Was obviously joking on better. Bennett is still a top 10 TE, Allen is maybe top15

Not this year but possibly next year (depending on if they can restructure his contract).

Edit: Was wrong. Wording wasn't entirely clear. Another source has him at 11 mil total for 2018.

Point still kinda stands though.

Gronk wants a raise, and will get one if he stays healthy and balls out this year
