Mayo plays inside and Niko has been one of their best defensive players. Not sure how Sheard signing will affect either players. If Mayo is cut, it won't be because Sheard signed.

I think it means they will rotate DEs more, as Nink has played more defensive snaps than any other player in the NFL the past 2 years.
Also, I think Jones will bump inside on obvious passing downs and Sheard will line up next to him. Assuming Easley gets his first step back, that will be a fricking sick pass rushing line.

I know but if they want Sheard as a full time player, they could cut Mayo and move Nink back to linebacker
