That's just what makes Pat, Pat Riley.
If he had it in him to let stuff go he wouldn't have the positives that go with being a hyper competitive and obsessive personality.
He's a hypocrite to bash Lebron for leaving Miami when that's the same way he got there... but a competitive ego with a healthy splash of narcissism is just going to look at the world through Riley first perspective.

That is where LeBron is interesting to me. He does what it takes to win, but you can see he cares about what people think about him. He wants to be a good guy, and doesnt embrace the hate at all

Yeah, Lebron is wired more like a Phil Mickelson than a peak Tiger Woods.
He's competitive, he knows he is good (FIGJAM), but he cares about other things maybe just as much or more than winning

let me get this straight... a few years ago pat riley convinced bron to come to miami "helped them win some nba finals" and riley is all posing with him with that smirk on his face. Then bron leaves, in the same manner that he came to the heat and now riley is all butthurt?

But when he gives details on this, it's always stuff that would make you think it's silly to assume he'd be back. For example, he said Riley would constantly text him, "what about this guy?", asking how Lebron felt about certain free agents, and Lebron never responded to any of those texts. So not sure why he'd assume he's coming back based on that and other Things LeBatard has mentioned.

Lebrons agenda: build his brand.
He realized that he can become a billionaire athlete without winning championships..so why not move home and try it? Riley for bron what he wanted, so he figured nothing was left to be done.
Bron wants jobs for his buddies and wants to be the owner/gm/coach/point forward.
Noticed how none of his boys had Miami Heat jobs or credentials the past 4 years--notice how they ALL have jobs now? Notice how they are all flying on the team plane?
This was strictly a power move by bron. He's what Carmelo yearns to be

Pat Riley has pretty much earned the ability to take a shot at anyone in basketball he wants, even at Lebron...and even if he's wrong. The dude has done more in basketball then almost anyone else alive at this point. He didn't accomplish what he has in the sport by being beta.

What? The heat are old and getting older, and health issues are the norm if you have Dwayne wade on your team. The heat are locked into a shite roster for awhile. I hope they sign Dragic to a huge deal just to make them shite broke for a long time.
