Panthers sign CB Cortland Finnegan

I know he is just a warm body that will be filling in until Tillman gets back, but I never really liked this guy. All I can think about is that Houston fight.

Finnegan, a 2008 Pro Bowl selection, worked out Friday with the Panthers (11-0), who are expected to be without 34-year-old starter Charles Tillman for at least a couple more games as he recovers from a sprained knee.
The Panthers were down to one backup corner, Teddy Williams, with Tillman having missed the past two games. They have been starting Bene' Benwikere as the every-down corner opposite Josh Norman.
Benwikere was the starting nickel back before Tillman's injury.
Many will remember the 31-year-old Finnegan for being ejected after a fight with then-Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson in 2010. Finnegan, then with the Tennessee Titans, and Johnson were each fined $25,000 by the NFL.
I know he is just a warm body that will be filling in until Tillman gets back, but I never really liked this guy. All I can think about is that Houston fight.

the guy is garbage, and not a very good locker room and on field leader. He's the complete opposite, and Rams learned the hard way.
He was so bad, that fans were making polls, of how bad he would get beat and how many td's the guy he covered would have each game.

He went to high school right down the road from where I live, ironically enough, the Milton "Panthers".

I thought Finnegan would be a perfect vet guy for the Rams younger corners after the draft, but he was the complete opposite, and was just a really bad Secondary player.
He couldn't cover Fullbacks by the end of his last season, and he's a Fisher guy, but even Fish couldn't keep him on the roster.

Outside of maybe Pacman Jones, this one of my least favorite NFL players ever.

unfortunately it was between him and Colin Jones, who is a fine special teams player but was getting absolutely burned the last two weeks playing nickel while Tillman has been out
until I'm proven wrong, it really can't be any worse than watching Jones get burned repeatedly by Beasley multiple times last Thursday
Cooks is probably gonna feast if we have no pass rush, though
