I'm there in June on a CA golf crawl and would appreciate places to play. Will probably play 2-3 rounds in two days. Want to play PGA Stadium course and at least one other. Thanks in advance.

No, we're starting in Palm Springs, then heading up to Carmel, playing Pebble and Spyglass Hill, then to Santa Cruz to play Pasa Tiempo. I'm stoked.

I've always thought that the La Quinta area has the nicer and more appealing of the courses in Coachella Valley. You can't go wrong with a lot of the courses in La Quinta, but I would say hit up La Quinta Resort Mountain Course if you can't get on to any of the private courses.

You've got a nice trip planned.

Thank you. There are so many courses there I appreciate the insight of those that have played. I don't want to go out there and realize later we should have played course ____.

Played the Norman course last year. The views are awesome. Stadium is one tough course.

Also played Tukwet Canyon. Its a little outside of Palm Springs, but very nice.

Before going out too, I would check the course conditions because once the summer season starts in the desert, some can get into bad shape fast. And the worst thing I can think of for a nice trip like that is to go play a course that you think will be great and turns out being shitt* b/c of condition.

The good thing for you is that you will be going there in the slow, summer season, so shouldn't be too hard to get on to the desert courses.

Any of the other courses at PGA West are also great too.

I would not recommend the Marriott course. It is in nice condition, but it's a full on resort course and plays very slow. It just wasn't worth the high green's fee.

I also played Eagle Falls down in Indio, CA and had a great time. Challenging, fun desert course that you will be able to play at a brisk pace. Staff was nice and overall a great experience. The only downside was the pro shop was pretty much a shack, but not a big deal.
