Every year they have the best draft. Both of them got an A or A+ by every grading service again for this year

How do they do it year after year and other teams continue to make stupid moves? You would think other GMs would take notes

They have great minds running each organization.

Historically, aside from the last 15 years with the Pats, the Steelers and Packers have had the best ownership and management in the NFL.

Although they have drafted well for many years it still doesn't guarantee success of this year's draft bc a bunch of mocker grades

Rodgers and Roethlisberger cover up a lot of "misses" on the offensive line/WR/TE/RB positions.

You forgot Denver.

Denver hasn't had back-to-back losing seasons in 44 years (longest streak in the NFL), and has had more Super Bowl appearances than losing seasons during that stretch.

The above was before the 2016 season started.

It starts at the top with ownership.
That's really all it is.

Well they drafted both of those, so the point still stands.

Eh... The Steelers have been downright money at drafting offensive skill players. Same with GB.

Sure, Rodgers, and Roethlisberger cover up a lot of mistakes, especially Roethlisberger during the early stages of his career with the Steelers (at the time) rebuilding OL.

But both teams are very good at identifying offensive skill talent.

they are good at identifying talent. They make a board and stick to it. Best player available for Green Bay and they stick to it

Wouldn't say money. Lacy and Adams were so inconsistent.

Some of Pittsburgh wide receivers were outside of brown.

I don't know if it's because they never had a dynastic run like other franchises or lost a bunch of Super Bowls, but they always seem underrated as an organization IMO.

It's pretty incredible how consistently competitive they've remained over the decades.

2001-07 was insane.

2001: Casey Hampton
2002: Kendall Simmons
2003: Troy Polamalu
2004: Big Ben
2005: Heath Miller
2006: Santonio Holmes
2007: Lawrence Timmons

Mike Wallace
Emmanuel Sanders
Martavis Bryant
Eli Rogers
Colbi Hamilton
Antonio Brown

Really the biggest bust was Limas Sweed.

EDIT: shite I even forgot Santonio Holmes.

Do what, get fictitious and completely meaningless draft grades the day after the draft?

The packers last few drafts have been average at best. That's why Rodgers has to carry the load all the time. If he goes down they're a 6 win team. He covers up for a ton of Ted Thompson mistakes and lack of free agency. That Packers front office has also been gutted over the last 5-6 yrs.

Oakland, Seattle, and KC gms all came from that staff.
