The developers said no tax dollars would be used for the construction project, including the stadium. The group plans to begin gathering signatures soon for an initiative that would place the entire project on the Inglewood municipal ballot in 2015.

Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. said he was "extremely supportive" of the ballot initiative that would add the sports and entertainment complex to the already-approved Hollywood Park development and speed construction. The stadium could be completed by 2018, the developers said.

"This will hasten the time for the citizens of Inglewood to get the project they deserve," Butts said. "This is something they have waited for for a long time."

As it stands, Los Angeles has two sites with the legal, political and environmental clearances for NFL venues: the Farmers Field plan downtown and Ed Roski's proposal in City of Industry.

I always thought the Rams were going to be the ones to make the move. I can't believe it has taken this long. Maybe they will have made the move by August 2018. Still seems like a long time off.

Also those renderings are inaccurate. The stadium looks full instead of 2/3rds full.

That's a lot of endzone seats in that first one

I like the first proposal over the second. But I do wonder how well they can keep that grass green year round. Going to look awfully shitty if it gets Updyked. I definitely like the moat idea at the bottom of the picture. Good fortress in a zombie apocalypse.

I don't even know what to compare the second one to. It's awful.

Downtown option makes the most sense. Inglewood is a shithole.

I always see these space-age stadium designs, but it seems like I never see the stadiums themselves. Except for Jerry's World.

Stan needs to use some of his cash to buy defensive help for Arsenal in the January transfer window...

Could have said the same thing about downtown LA pre-Staples Center.

What do current Rams fans do when stuff like this comes out?

Why would you continue to buy tickets knowing they are going to leave?

Not give a shite, and you don't.

That team had the worst NFL 5 year stretch in history recently. Let them go, terrible team, with terrible ownership, and no improvement on that any time soon

Rams are an average, healthy QB away from being really good.

That defense is legit and the offense has a decent OL and good weapons.

Cutler should go be a Ram.
