Ortiz Is Possibly Really Injured

Fouled ball off his shin and foot in 9th. Had to be helped off the field and could barely walk. X-rays going on now...looked very bad.

That happens all the time at the mlb level. 99/100 are not seriously hurt and 100/100 get xrays. He will probably take 4 days off and be good to go.

Maybe he can get back on his steroid regimen and recover quickly

He is 40 years old and he leads the majors with an OPS over 1.000. Only other player over 40 with an OPS over .950 in MLB history....Bonds who did it twice.

As if this dude isn't already on his regimen.

He's listed as day-to-day per Dombrowski. So, no big deal. Probably just a "contusion" or aka: bruise.
