I just don't understand. The Rose Bowl is still THE BOWL game, aside from the NCG of course. I mean they start promos for the Rose Bowl like now every year, and the hype for other bowls just doesn't compare
still get tired of playing in the same game over and over because you fricked up and aren't in the title game.
I bet they wouldn't mind going to Miami or New Orleans

Two players aren't a bunch. Shitty thread title has of course helped you think this way.
Both players can kiss my arse. Surprised at Huff. DAT....not shocked he hasn't learned his lesson.

A good defense and work horse RB can always beat Oregon.

I hope they get their asses handed to them again. Can't expect to just show up and think your entitled to anything.
Mark Helfrich IMO wasn't the man they should've hired. I was on record saying this before the hire. I stand by that.

I'm laughing as much as everyone else, but this may be the best thing for the Pac 12. Stanford now is slotted for the Rose Bowl and maybe Oregon gets picked in the Orange Bowl against Clemson

Oregon is literally a joke of a program. Their current players are disgracing them.

Yeah 1st the "We want 'Bama" t-shirts and they get manhandled by Stanford. Then "We don't want the Rose Bowl; it's not a big deal" comes along and they get hammered by Arizona.

The Chip Kelly culture of maintaining focus and respecting your opponent vanished when he left. We never made so many mistakes and looked so unfocused and unprepared under Chip. Never got blown out once aside from the 13-pt loss to LSU (second best team in the country), let alone blown out by an unranked team.
This new guy has to reign guys like DAT and Huff in. They are the elder statesmen on this team and are supposed to be "leaders". Well attitude reflects leadership, captain. This team has developed a sense of entitlement. They came out and embarrassed themselves.
This loss was horrible for the program, but serves as a wake up call. Our offense is a shell of what it was with LaMichael James and Darron Thomas running it. Blow outs have come so easy that players didn't think they had to execute at 100% to win. Missed blocks and weak effort everywhere. Missed tackles with guys trying to go for big hits and not making the fundamentally sound tackle. Bought into the hype, complacency set in, and we could not respond to adversity once this year.

I can see ASU getting the Alamo Bowl invite. UCLA/USC will get the Holiday bowl because the local fan base will eat up the tickets.
Send us to El Paso with a healthy serving of humble pie. I'm embarrassed of how entitled we became post Chip. I will always love my Ducks, I am PISSED that we lost, but sometimes you need to be humbled before you can become better. A lower bowl will have the guys who are coming back go into next year hungry to see a good season all the way through, and to not take the opportunity to win the PAC 12 and a trip to the Rose Bowl (or any access bowl for that matter) for granted.

Say what you want about this loss makes you better and shite. Losing to a far inferior team in Arizona doesn't help anybody but Arizona.
frick your elitist west coast bull shite. It's hot garbage.Yall run this flashy trash offense because you can't recruit well enough to play football the way it was meant to be played. Change uniforms every single week God that shite is stupid. Those flawless facilities will be just rotting away like your program when Washington and USC get out of the shitter. The U might be down now but at least we have a legacy. 30 years from now nobody will remember or give a damn about Oregon and there 10 win seasons.

Not gonna happen, son. Do I think we will contend every year for a conference championship and a playoff berth? No. But this program will be a top-10 program because of the wealth of resources and commitment to excellence. Those are the two most important factors to winning - resources and commitment to winning. 8-4 seasons won't be tolerated. An 11-2 season has become a down season, as it should be. Arrogance and entitlement has been our undoing this year. Our offense has in fact become a "flashy trash offense" because players have been sloppy blocking and expect to just race past everyone. We need to get back to how we played a couple years ago, when we ran through Stanford and executed with focus. We just have to continue to recruit well and get back to the focused mindset that we had during the Chip Kelly era.
We have dominated the pacific northwest since 1995, Washington isn't sending us anywhere. We have better resources than they do, and right now we recruit better than they do. I'm sure they will bounce back eventually, but they haven't been a threat since 2001.
Oregon has become one of the premier programs because of it's facilities AND W-L record. We have been to four straight BCS games, won the last two, and have never been outside of the top 10 of the BCS rankings since mid-2009. That consecutive weeks streak will end tonight but it is top 3 in the BCS Era. We've won 12 games three straight seasons. Not many other programs have won 3 BCS bowls. You may think that's trash, but I'll take it.
tl;dr - We aint going nowhere. We have been humbled, and we need to realize that our undoing this year was a failure to execute and a lack of dedication to the craft.

Orange Bowl has the first pick at a BCS at-large. That is really the only at large spot available because UCF and Fresno State/NIU will go to Sugar and Fiesta. But everyone has the Orange picking Wisconsin, and Oregon is universally thought to have no shot at that game.
Why? Wisconsin is surging right now. Also the Orange Bowl has a partnership with the BIG 10 that starts next year in the new system. The BIG 10 has a shared tie-in with the SEC/ND to play the ACC champ.
