Since opposing fans can't post on the LSU recruiting board, and it's lame to clog up this board with a bunch of OSU threads, this seems the best way to discuss this.

Dwayne Haskins is visiting Maryland today. I still think he's trending OSU even if LSU potentially is getting a visit on the 22nd.

Ohio State hired former LSU OC/OL coach Greg Studrawa to be OL coach. I'd love to hear some opinion from LSU fans on this. Many seem to think he's a bad OL coach from what I've read.

We've had a very lackluster month recuriting (obviously the dead period had a lot to do with that) but had quite a few misses especially at DT with Antwaun Jackson, Dexter Lawrence, etc. Rashard Lawrence would be a great get but I don't know if he will leave LA.

What's the man gripe?

Chris Ash was "awful" at Arkansas and in two years took our defense to a national title. Some people just need a change of scenery.

He's had his change of scenery for a couple years now and is still bad.

I think he has a grand total of like 1 or 2 linemen that has been drafted and they were late rounders. Always got manhandled by SEC lines because he loves/ recruits smaller linemen.

Interesting, we'll see how that plays out. He has some studs to coach up for at least 3 years.

I was never a fan, but he has become a lightening rod amongst LSU fans especially after failing to sign Cam Robinson. He was blamed and probably somewhat justifiably so for recruiting failures in N La. During Robinson's recruitment it was pointed out that LSU had only 1 OL in the NFL, Joe Barksdale, who was a 3rd rounder. He was also a converted DL. Overall there was less talent on the OL than other position groups at LSU. Part of that is on Studrawa's recruiting, part of it is Louisiana doesn't always produce a lot of P5 OL men (that's why ir really hurts to lose a guy like CRob). In fairness to Stud, he did sign and coach Tre Turner and Lael Collins, who, along with Barksdale are doing well in the NFL.

As for the recruiting, I really hope you guys go 0-2 on the guys LSU is competing for, but I suspect it will probably be 1-1, with us getting Lawrence and tOSU getting Haskins.

In all honestly i'm a little torn on which LSU needs more. We desperately need a QB. Going into this cycle, DT was a huge need as well, though I'm curious to see what Aranda's D will look like. There are also psychological reasons for some fans, especially in NELA that we need to keep Lawrence, though if we lose him much better outside the SEC than the Evil Empire 2 states east

I heard tOSU nabbed some recruits from USC after the Sark affair.

Also Notre Dame - most notably, Daelin Hayes.

Chicken should make a recruiting board. Theres plenty of fans of other teams to justify it.

Can't think of any

Hayes was trending ND before any of Sarks issues came out.

I got a slap on the wrist and told not to post over there regarding the two recruits that are basically down to Ohio State and LSU. I can see why they want to keep that board clean, but the posters over there get their panties in a wad over the littlest thing.

I agree an overall recruiting board wouldn't be a bad thing, but I doubt that ever happens. SEC has their own recruiting board on their page so that eliminates most need for it in the eyes of our dear leader I would assume.

Didn't catsgonewild come over originally from the same Ohio message board Kosmo did? He is telling him to go away for posting about OSU but he should stay because he slapped an LSU logo in his name?

According to 247, Rivals, and Yahoo... Ohio State and Michigan are killing it.

Will finish in the top 3.

Pretty cool both are now coming back to the same level.

Could be another 10 year war if Urban has the heart for it.

They can. I've posted there several times without problem. Kosmo started a thread on the LSU Recruiting Forum and that may be what brought it on.
