We just aren't used to the success at the end of the recruiting cycle. With Tressel, Ohio State was one of the hats on the table on NLOID. Now, Ohio State is THE hat on the table. Particularly with the national recruits. It appears now that if we're a finalist for these guys at the end the odds are in our favor.

Bell took the last scholarship. We didn't expect all four of Bell, Elliot, Wilson, and Clark. When we got all 4, that hit our limit. One beat writer thinks Urban called Townsend and asked if he would hold off until later to sign (we'd more than likely lose another player sometime in the offseason). Sounds most likely what happened.

That makes more sense. With scholarship restrictions it was surprising we were spending it on a punter anyway.

With all this talent, we aren't going to be punting at all next year.


And a walk on.

I can gaurantee Urban can convince someone to walk on one year, and give him a scholarship the year after.

Or just tell him we will do that and just recruit someone next year.

Preferably option B.
