This could be the year for Clemson

Some Clemson fan started a thread discussing how many players they've lost in training camp. Apparently they've been hit pretty hard with injuries so they may suck this year.

over a 2 loss pac 12 team? I agree

Not directly over them.

A 2-loss SEC champ is more likely to get in over a 1-loss Clemson than a 2-loss Pac 12 champ would be over that same Clemson team. So I just don't think there's any scenario the SEC gets shut out unless the ACC produces an undefeated champ.

Besides, going strictly by the oddsmakers, Oregon, USC, and Arizona State are ALL likely to suffer a loss out of conference, correct?

Again, I think it's very likely that the Pac 12 champ this season has 2 losses overall.

ETA: I don't mean that it's likely that the Oregon, USC, and ASU will go 0-3 combined in those games. Just that they will each individually be underdogs for an OOC game this season.

I don't see any way they can suck. They should have a pretty good team no matter what. People seem to love Watson, assuming he can stay on the field.

I'm interested to see how Chris Petersen does in his second year at Washington.

I think a 2 loss pac 12 team will be in a spot to jump a 1 loss b1g team or tcu/Baylor of either lose to someone else in the big 12

I do not think you can have 2 losses to be in the playoff, no matter who you are.

Yea, it's an unlikely scenario

Yeah I meant struggle, not outright suck. They do have a ton of talent.

I think Oregon wins the north and gets into the playoff. I think they'll pull the upset against MSU.

The SEC will get a 2-loss champ in, IMO, because of the status of the conference.

You sure about that? An at-large team wouldn't take their place if they finish with one loss?

The Pac 12 better hope its champions of the divisions do not cannibalize themselves.

I honestly think that the Playoff will be this....

Arizona
tOSU
ACC/Notre Dame
OU

I think the SEC gets left out due to surprise winner in SECCG and some backlash as the SEC is not the power conference as of right now.

Why do I pick Arizona...

They miss Oregon, go to Stanford (who is down), go to USC (everyone goes to LA 1 time), they go to UW, and they go to CU. The non-con road game is to Nevada.

The Territorial Cup game it does not matter where it is played, they hate each other.

You don't need an "official" thread

I'll never understand why people have to start season long threads when individual games are going to be posted

I doubt the SEC gets left out.

Ohio State
SEC winner
TCU
1-loss ACC champ (if no 1-loss ACC champ, then Pac 12 champ)

Strongly disagree.

Looking at schedules, it's likely that the Pac 12 champ has 2 losses. Certainly possible the SEC produces a 2-loss champ. Although I think this COULD be the year for an ACC team to break through, it's still not a guarantee they can produce a 1-loss champ.

I don't think a 1-loss Baylor is going to get in over a 2-loss team, even if their only loss is to TCU. Their schedule is fricking terrible. Not gonna happen, IMO.

I dont know, maybe b/c most people dont want to sift through 60 pages of 10 different games that are all going on at the same time just to talk about whats going on in the conference?

I thought he retired?

Guns Jr is now the ref of choice and he is as flag happy as his dad's crew in in the National Football League.
