Jeff is 6-8-1 lifetime on the weekend at Augusta. Can he get one round closer to .500 against the world's former #1?

The Augusta National chairman insists that a weekend competitor not go out as a single, so Knox is the lucky man who is hand-picked to play as a marker whenever an odd number of players survives the 36-hole cut.

He holds the course record from the member tees, a 61.

This guy fascinates me. Did he ever give pro golf a shot himself?

i'm sure there are people that think this is a douche move, but i actually think its pretty cool, a lot better than someone playing a round by themselves

Nah. Just a really good amateur. He's won the GA Mid Am a few times

It says some of these golfers that drew him as a marker were disappointed or upset.. what's the reasoning behind that?

Because they like playing alone (faster, own pace, etc.) and they don't want to lose to a 50-something amateur.

Is there any way to actually track their pairing and his score?

Unless you're getting info from someone following that group you won't know what he's shooting. The National doesn't let him be shown on tv and he can't give interviews. He's basically a ghost to the viewer.

They've showed him before online. But very sparingly. Someone from the media will update his score after the round.

Getting lots of airtime on the Amen Corner channel right now. Just bogeyed 11.

Keep those updates coming. The field is now a side show to Mr. Knox

Surprising they are airing him. I remember a couple years ago they didn't allow it bc they didn't want him to take air time from the players. How's he playing?
May be bc it's not on television yet. Dunno. Anyway, he's a very intriguing story- I hope he plays well and what an honor.

Should be coming up to 15&16 channel online.
He went 5,3,4 around Amen Corner.
