Still outlasted those other hockey franchises in the state -

RIP:

NO Brass
BR Kingfish
Shrev Mudbugs
Alex Warthogs
Mon Moccasins
LC Ice Pirates

BUT, would love to see some of this return...

I went to a few Ice Gator games back in the day. Had a blast. They would nearly fill the Cajundome.

Sadly, not filled anymore, but still have a good time. $10 seats in some areas and the $4 20 oz. beer helps to make it all better, lol...

Technically, it is a different franchise. The original (echl) ice gators folded in 2005 while the current version (est 2009) plays in the sphl. Pretty cool that there was a demand for a franchise to come back

Well, the ORIGINAL Ice Gators team folded in 2005. This is an entirely new organization that started up in 2009 and plays in the Southern Pro Hockey League instead of the ECHL.

I want to catch an Ice Gators' game this season. I haven't been to a hockey game since the Ice Pirates. I still have my souvenir hockey stick and pucks somewhere. May have to bust out the old Ice Pirates jersey.

How's the attendance? Poor, I'm sure.
