Quintana obviously doesn't have it this year, Porte at least put an effort in to try to put Froome into difficulty but when he can sit back all day those attacks are much easier to counter.

I've been following the pace set by Sky on the flats leading to climbing stages and in hindsight it was done to neutralize Quintana. They said today's was one of the fastest ever. By the time they get to the climbing, he's so gased he can't lay down the power.

I too thought Froome looked vulnerable when Bth Martin attacked and Valverde hit the front, little gaps to Poels appeared both times.
(Poels by the way needs to be a GT contender)

I don't think Quintana is sick, they wouldn't try and isolate Froome if he was.

At this point who cares? Lol
I'll be watching the next three days but this has been pretty disappointing.

Porte is within striking distance of the podium and he's been in form, that might be interesting to watch.

Will you clowns keep the updates going today, please?

5 saw where they have rain forecasted for later and there are some nice turns that could cause some road rash. I saw one guy already flip over a barrier on a corner.

Dumoulin likely to win the stage. The top contenders still on the road. Porte will probably get a few seconds closer to podium. Quintana looking to lose more time, it seems.

I'm watching the live tracking (can't watch on tv at work)... is Froome really about to catch Mollema on the road?

Dude killed it in the second half of that

Dumoulin said Froome would beat his time, that he overdid it in the first half. And the checkpoint times confirm that.

Froome is now 3:52 up on Mollema

Froome's taking yellow to Paris... unless someone does some serious doping in this final 2 mountain stages

I don't think Droome has been as good this year as he was on his other victories though, they've played a lot safer(outside of the descent attack), he's won it through TT, and following attacks. No OMG moment like previously. I would imagine he's saving something for the Olympics and maybe he wants to have a proper crack at the Vuelta.

The battle for podium looks fantastic, I'm hoping for rain so Quintana can't blame allergies

I'd like to see Porte make it to the podium. He has at least tried to do something besides ride Froome's wheel.

apparently Majka has mathematically clinched the KOM competition

all he needs to do is make sure he finishes the tour

Porte's back in the pack... but Mollema has gone down in a traffic circle as they prepare for the final climb of the day
