I don't know why I get so excited for the draft. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

Cowboys looking to bolster draft pick war chest?: A report suggests that the Cowboys are in the market to buy first-round picks, hoping to have two selections. Dallas is currently slated to pick fourth overall.

Hmm. I wonder who Dallas could be targeting?

I would have assumed that used to be a terrible day as well.

Not until a few weeks into the season and you realized they were terrible picks/busts.

Once upon a time I was excited to watch JaMarcus Russell.

As was I, but let's not pretend the DHB pick wasn't a kick to the stomach.

I have friends who still laugh at that pick, and rightfully so.

Oh for sure, that one sucked. Didn't like Hayden at all either.

First page, in.

Im still surprised the Cowboys are wanting Ramsey at #4. Ramsey is a phenomenal player, but Dallas needs serious pass rushing help.

I will be irate if Denver gives up anything substantial for Sam Bradford.

Denver needs to draft Karl Joseph in round 1.

Saw Peter King and someone else I forget both mention that it sounds like the Chargers are thinking Stanley instead of Tunsil.

He also said the Saints really like Paxton Lynch....

I'm begging that the draft shakes out like Mayock's mock on NFL Network last night for the Titans. He had the Titans moving back up to 6th to take Tunsil.

Here is what Peter King wrote:

quote:

Throughout the league on Wednesday, particularly with teams choosing in the top 10, football people were talking about Notre Dame tackle Ronnie Stanley here … not the more noted tackle, Laremy Tunsil of Ole Miss. Telesco earned his stripes under former Colts GM Bill Polian, and one thing he learned is to never be afraid to stick your neck out and make a pick that will surprise some people. No one has had Stanley this high until the last day or two. Telesco will be fine with that, if Stanley is the top guy on his board.

I'm personally hoping it isn't a smokescreen.

I don't think he's getting past Pittsburgh. Especially if Billings and Jackson III are both off the board by their pick.
