Sloane's footwork reminds me of Steffi Graf. Just like Graf, she is constantly split-stepping during baseline rallies. This isn't to say that she's as fast as Graf*; she just moves the exact same way. Sloane v. Serena highlights Graf v. Seles highlights
*Steffi could have been a world class sprinter -- she trained with the German track and field team in the offseason and apparently she routinely put up olympic qualifying times in the 400 and 800** -- except that she was just really good at tennis.
**Only slightly related, but Bjorn Borg also could have been a world class sprinter. In fact, if Borg hadn't been pushed towards tennis when he was 12, we might have had a white man break 10 seconds in the 100 meters. Alas, the 200,000 year streak continues.
