Now that the finals are over, can we say for sure if it was rigged or not?

I am a casual follower....I was told by the interwebs and some of the MSB that when Green was suspended for Game 5, this proved the fix was in. Then that crooked NBA ref said as much also.

What is the final verdict on this?

I quit watching when the Celtics got robbed by the Lakers a few years ago. You know Kobe had to have a title!

At the end of the day most points are determined by whether the ball goes in the hole or not. No one can control that... rigging is impossible. Most you could say is 'influenced'

I was cheering for the Warriors. Since they lost, I must conclude that it was in fact rigged. I cannot lay out the evidence anymore clearly than that.

The Lakers had more points off of free throws than field goals in the 4th quarter.

Unless every one in the NBA is in on it then no. And only literally retarded people think otherwise. The Warriors went scoreless for five minutes, and most of those empty possessions were just missed shots. If Steph makes one three in those last 4 minutes they probably win.

I don't think Game 7 was tainted in anyway at all....but I could listen to an argument that when the series was 3 games to 1 there was a push to get the thing to a game 7

The only series I will ever argue were truly manipulated to the degree of directly determining a winner were the 2002 WCF and the 2006 NBA Finals.

I do think however the NBA takes measures to help extend series pretty regularly however.

The only thing you could argue about was suspending Green. But Green still swung at Lebron's dick, and had committed six other flagrant infractions throughout the post season that no one had a problem with being called flagrants at the time. So unless the NBA and Draymond were both colluding to have Draymond commit flagrant fouls throughout the playoffs...see what I mean? It just doesn't make any sense.

As for Game 6 some of the mongoloids will point to the calls on Curry, to which I will counter that he had maybe two ticky tack fouls called on him. But he's still choosing to put himself in situations where fouls are often called. Not to mention he fouled out with four minutes left and the Cavs up 12 at home.

Basically unless you think the whole thing is rigged and every team and every player is in on it there's no way for the NBA to really influence games, barring a 2006 Wade like treatment at the rim. Which I don't think was an actual rigging, just like the 2002 WCF, just really incompetent officiating. Regardless, there was nothing like that in this series

I'd listen to a argument about the NBA influencing games 5 & 6

Game 7 was pretty clean, cleveland is more physical but they get those calls cause they are

Game 7 was not influenced in any way shape or form. I do think when the series was at 3-1 there was a slight push to help the Cavs in 5 and 6. The rubber band effect if you will.

I've never thought this before and argued against the conspiracy theorist, but after this year I am on the other side. The league completely had an agenda to get this series to a game 7 and give Lebron every opportunity to win.

Nike must have put up more money than under amour

Yeah, it had absolutely nothing to do with him receiving another flagrant that put him over the flagrant limit...........

You people are insane. Cleveland won this series fair and square on the back of the best player on the planet and (at times) Kyrie Irving.

Not a single one of you was complaining about the NBA rigging anything when OKC blew their 3-1 lead. Now that James and the Cavs make the biggest comeback in NBA playoff and finals history, "OMG it's rigged!!!".

Gimme a break.

Spurs v Heat rematch in 2014 had tons of hype. 5 game series.

LeBron's first championship against the young and highly talented Thunder. 5 game series.

There have been as many 5 game series as there has been 7 game series in the last decade.

Lot of people really believe that. I do not, but I will say the Warriors being up 3-1 made it much easier to suspend Green for that one game.

Outside of that no, I don't think the refs were directed by the NBA, or mafia or whatever to do what they had to in order to extend the series to 7. But lot's of folks I've talked to, and even a few who are semi-intelligent really believe it to be so. I find the notion preposterous.
