Everyone is ragging on the Big 12 and rightfully so for not having a CCG and their commish being a dumbass, but what happens when Notre Dame goes 11-1 and they were in the place of say, TCU today?

If you're a brand name, you're in. If not, you're out.

they'd be out.

ND is going to have to go 12-0 most years to get in.

It makes sense, shouldn't they just bit the bullet and join a conference?

ND is in no questions asked, no matter how weak their schedule is or strong it is.

They schedule no power 5 teams and go undefeated. They still in?

Notre Dame won't go 12-0 or 11-1 for that matter so it is not up for discussion, IMO. Do you remember when they were ranked #5?

Let the season play itself out and Notre Dame will prove to show its taint year after year.

Itd be easier to make the playoffs in the ACC, but unless they are forced to be a "conference winner" for playoff consideration, they are not going to join.

ND will always have playoff access at 12-0 and in some years at 11-1.

This year they are in at 12-0 and out at 11-1.

Not even a realistic scenario so why devote 3 brain cells to it.

well they just did 2 years ago and they have a solid coach so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

ND is in a period of focused SOS-lowering (historically they've always had among the toughest schedules, and they're going a little easier nowadays), and their schedule was still considerably tougher than TCU's this year. They may or may not have been higher than tOSU, but they definitely would be ranked ahead of TCU if 11-1, and for good reason.

Good question.

I've actually thought for a while that if Notre Dame were to join a conference, it should be the Big XII. They can add someone else (I personally wanna see Boise, get them in a big conference and more TCUvBoise) and get a conference title game again. The Big XII would have Notre Dame, Texas, and Oklahoma. A lot of money would be made just from those three.

Though it won't happen.

dont look at their schedule next year then unless youre preparing to get rustled. ND has a great chance to make a playoff run.

Notre Dame will be in, if they are one of 3 or 4 teams being considered

Football Factories over Middle tier programs, committee already stated that.
