I wouldn't say twice the size... maybe D1 prospects.

But, Curtis' teams always have their fair share of behemoths
My point was, Curtis does not blow teams out the water based on their players, there are plenty of teams with their talent level, they win consistently due to execution

I'm not disagreeing that they are a fine-tuned machine, but you are kidding yourself if you think Curtis isn't in the upper echelon of teams with the most D1 talent.

I agree that teams like Karr, St. Aug, etc. usually have more talent than the majority of teams in the state, but Curtis is right there with them.

It's Curtis' execution that sets them apart.

Shock value writer. She also released the letter of a murderer explaining the details of him murdering his parents. frick her.

As far as holdbacks, definitely still occurs. Just not at the rate people believe. You'll typically have 4-5 starters that were holdbacks. Not the 22 that most believe. It is what it is as far as I'm concerned. My Mom nixed that shite for me. Damn my 4.0 and 27 ACT in 7th grade.

If its the team I follow, only 3 of those will go to WM. The others will go to St Fred, Cedar Creek, Neville, and Claiborne Christian. Also 2 of them are a year behind the others.

When teams have equal talent then 9/10 the better coached team will win and its usually the private school. We've seen in a lot in recent championship games (Amite-St Charles, Haynesville-OCS, Curtis-Winnfield).

I don't see that as being equal talent, all three of those private schools had better talent.

They are very well coached, but it is very rare, if ever Curtis doesn't have the most talent on the field.

St. Aug won't show up to a game or two this year that they should easily win. Happens every year.

You could not have said it any better. It kills us as fans. Terrible kicking game is always our undoing.

That will do it. Many times after getting stopped on 3rd down deep in their own territory, the punting game doesn't serve as a weapon like it would for other teams.

The same can be said for kickoffs. Without a kicker that can get both height and distance on his kicks, opposing teams gain a sizable advantage.

Field position is what kills teams like St. Aug (teams with a lack of kicking game).

More special teams incompetence than kicking. WM scored on kick return and recovered a kickoff deep in Aug territory when Aug played it like a punt and simply didn't recover it.

Many of the kids that will start for Curtis just came in 8th-9th grade. Kind of hard to have holdbacks when kids don't show up till high school.
